Here's the truth: I bought the herringbone necklace. LOVED its look. But with even minimal wear, within less than one (1!) month, it irritated my neck so much I had to return it.
I originally wrote an honest review about that experience and the company reached out to me to apologize, stating that they are actively working on improving the product/distributor for their necklaces. I assume they are telling the truth, I have no way to know if they are. I hope so. Regardless, that can take months or even years to firm up and in the meantime, I do think customers should know the truth about what this product MAY do.
There seems to be a mix of reviews here so by all means you may gamble and see how it operates on your skin but I have normal skin and it caused irritation on my neck fairly quickly. GORGEOUS look so it's really unfortunate that it caused irritation. I loved the look so much I earmarked it to invest properly in a legitimately gold necklace (usually a few hundred dollars). Now that I know I love the look, it's worth it to me to just buy the real thing which I would expect to last for many years. Perhaps if you're in a pinch (for ex, if you needed it just for a day? a limited-time photo shoot maybe?) or don't plan to wear this directly on your skin, it can work.
